A restful
break away
A gîte in the Bresse Bourguignonne countryside, situated in a hamlet just 4 kilometres outside the pretty medieval town of Romenay. Enjoy being in the heart of nature in eastern France, between the Saône and Seille Rivers and a drive away from the Jura department.
It’s the perfect setting for a quiet, relaxing holiday, while still being central to the area’s most well-known tourist destinations, including Tournus, Louhans, Cluny, Chalon-sur-Saône, Bourg-en-Bresse and Mâcon... A slightly longer drive will take you to the famous cities of Beaune and Dijon in Burgundy.

What does ‘Benouchon‘ means ?
In the local Bresse dialect, ‘Benouchon’ means a ‘small estate’, with a farm, a garden and a few animals (two cows, two goats, a few chickens, rabbits and a pig).
We have no goats, pigs or rabbits here, but we do have two dogs (Owlie and Yago), two cats (Lady Gail and Atlantis), two ponies (Nina and Pika), four hens (Suzy, Lavande, Georges and Grisouille) and four sheep (Matthieu, Jack, Otis and Marvin).
